A foggy sky while out on a drive through Chicago.

So… after only, what… a month of absence, I’m back. I feel like I should have taken a longer break, or not come back at all, because I was really happy spending my time on other things. But alas, tumblr called out to me… and my friend’s incessant reblogging made me jealous. >_<

I’ve been trying to go out more and spend less time on the computer. I’ve discovered a love for live music and bands (of the indie and hipster variety) and a really fucking awesome bar that’s just down the street from me. I also finally started going back to the gym! It’s been a couple years and I’m really behind in terms of health and fitness, but it feels so frakkin’ awesome to get a decent workout again.

I decided to make this blog more about personal experiences and whatnot. I really liked the personal photo and blurb format I had going for a while, so I’ll try to keep that going. I plan on also doing some book reviews and some recollections of shows I’ve seen. As for the random reblogging of items not created by me, I’ll be posting all those on a new tumblog: Gonna Nerd You So Hard. Yeah, not really going to go into the details of the title, but I also want to point out that I’ll be posting some probably NSFW stuff from time to time.

I wanted to have a consistent rate of posting (at least once a day), but there’s no guaranteeing that. And thank you thank you THANK YOU for all of you who stuck around and are still following me. This tumblog probably won’t have as much or any of the stuff that lead you to follow me in the first place. If you really dug that stuff, then please follow the new one I just mentioned. Otherwise, just sit back and enjoy. :)

Autocosmica Leveled Up!

I decided to take a crack at designing a new layout. I haven’t worked with a Tumblr theme before, but it didn’t really seem that hard, compared to working with Wordpress.

I went a bit sprite and jQuery crazy, by the way. Also, I decided to go with the high-resolution images, so they’re going to be bigger than usual (that’s what she said).

And be sure to check out the bottom footer by hovering near the audio player. Hopefully the footer will then slide up and appear.
