I admit that I covet these things. Luckily, I’m strong-willed enough to not buy every single thing that makes me say, “OMG THAT IS SO FUCKING COOL!” If I did… I’d probably be in a lot of debt and have a lot of junk around that doesn’t really do anything other than have some aesthetic value.
That isn’t to say that I hate this stuff or call it crap. On the contrary, the geek in me would love to have very expensive display shelves full of figurines, statues, and busts. But I have to be practical, as well as have a level head when it comes to showing off my inner nerd. Conventions like C2E2 are a great opportunity for me to totally geek out and see all the neato toys.
